Chaltén Adventure

DAY 1: EL CALAFATE.

Arrival into El Calafate. Time at leisure (optional excursions available to book).

DAY 2: EL CALAFATE - EL CHALTÉN (B, L).

Morning walk to the base and kayak from De los Témpanos Beach to 600 meters from Perito Moreno glacier. Afternoon transfer to El Chaltén. Time at leisure (optional excursions available to book).

DAY 3: EL CHALTÉN - PUESTO CAGLIERO (B, L, D).

Transfer to Estancia los Huemules where you will hike down the Diablo River’s Valley to Puesto Cagliero. The tour lasts an average of 2.5 hours and allows you to enjoy the Andean Patagonian forest the river and the hills.

DAY 4: PUESTO CAGLIERO (B, L, D).

Hike to the 30th Anniversary Hill, which includes safe climbing with ropes to the viewpoint of the hill. Walk to the Neumeyer Glacier. The total ascent takes around 4 hours. From the height, appreciate the view of the hills and glaciers. Lunch stop will be at the Neumeyer lagoons followed by an Ice Trek with crampons on the glaciers.

DAY 5: PUESTO CAGLIERO (B, L, D).

Today Ice Trek on the Cagliero Glacier to reach the stunning viewpoint. And a trek to the front of the glacier.

DAY 6: PUESTO CAGLIERO (B, L, D).

Full day trek to Loma del Diablo Hill. The highlights during the tour are Mount Fitz Roy, Torre Hill, Marconi Hill, Pollone Glacier, 30th Anniversary Hill, Neumeyer, Cordón del Bosque, Diablo River, Cóndor Lagoon and lakes Desierto and Viedma. During the descent pass through the hidden lagoons, reaching the Diablo lagoon.

DAY 7: PUESTO CAGLIERO - EL CHALTÉN- EL CALAFATE (B).

This morning leave Puesto Cagliero towards Los Huemules to start the return to El Chaltén. Transfer to El Chaltén and continue towards El Calafate for your flight or extend your trip.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Accommodation - 6 nights in minimum 3-star hotels.

Meals - As specified in the itinerary (B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner).

Luggage - One normal suitcase and one handbag per person included for hotel porterage.

Transfers - all airport transfers from arrival on Day 1 to final day (assuming specific group flights booked)

Tours (with local bilingual English-speaking guides) - El Calafate: Perito Moreno Kayak. Puesto Cagliero: 3 guided treks.
