DAY 1: SALTA.

Arrival into Salta. In the afternoon, explore the city on a walking tour through its streets, churches, colonial buildings, and the High Mountain Archaeology Museum (MAAM).

Maximum altitude: 1.152 MASL (3.779 ft.)

DAY 2: SALTA (B).

Explore Humahuaca Gorge in the Province of Jujuy, visiting typical and colorful villages, as Tilcara with its Pucará, Uquia and Humahuaca. On the return stop at Maimará to admire Paleta del Pintor (Painter´s Palette).

Maximum altitude: 3.000 MASL (9.842 ft.)

DAY 3: SALTA - CACHI (B).

Today begin the tour to Calchaquíes Valleys. Visiting Del Obispo Slope, Recta de Tin Tin and Los Cardones National Park.

Maximum altitude: 3.400 MASL (11.154 ft.)

DAY 4: CACHI - CAFAYATE (B).

Morning at leisure. In the afternoon depart towards Cafayate, via Route 40, passing by Seclantas, Molinos, Angastaco and De Las Flechas Gorge, with its interesting formations caused by water and wind erosion.

Maximum altitude: 2.000 MASL (6.561 ft.)

DAY 5: CAFAYATE (B).

Morning visit to De Las Conchas Gorge. Afternoon - visit a local wine producer for a tour followed by wine tasting. Explore the Vine and Wine Museum (Museo de la Vid y el Vino) for an insight into the wine making process.

Maximum altitude: 1.660 MASL (5.249 ft.)

DAY 6: CAFAYATE - TAFÍ DEL VALLE (B).

Today travel to Tafi Del Valle via the Ruins of the Quilmes (an aborigines’ citadel), the largest pre-Columbian settlement in Argentina.

Maximum altitude: 3.042 MASL (9.980 ft.)

DAY 7: TAFÍ DEL VALLE - TUCUMÁN (B).

Morning at leisure to enjoy the activites offered by the Estancia. Depart to Tucumán via De Los Sosa Gorge. Short city tour before transferring to the airport or extend your trip.

Maximum altitude: 2.014 MASL (6.607 ft.)
