Full Itinerary
DAY 1: USHUAIA.
Early arrival to take part in the 4WD lakes crossing where you can watch beavers in their habitat. In the eventing time at leisure in Ushuaia.
DAY 2: USHUAIA - CRUISE (B, D).
Today transfer to the port and board the Silver Cloud or Silver Wind Expedition cruise ship.
DAYS 3 & 4: DRAKE PASSAGE (B, L, D).
Over the next 2 days cross the Drake Passage, named after Francis Drake who sailed these waters in 1578. As you begin the expedition, do not miss the chance to participate in debates about wildlife, geography, and history.
DAY 5: NORTH ANTARCTIC PENINSULA (B, L, D).
The experience begins in the upper part of the Antarctic Peninsula. Depending on the weather and the ice conditions, visit Brown Bluff and Hope Bay, where there is one of the largest colonies of Adélie penguins. Take a trip on a zodiac to see penguins and Weddell seals close up.
DAY 6 TO 9: ANTARCTIC PENINSULA (B, L, D).
During the voyage, the expedition’s leader and the captain will determine the best course depending on weather, ice conditions and fauna of that day. Places visited are Cuverville Island, whose rocks are ideal as a nesting site for Gentoo penguins. Paraiso Bay: Sail beyond Argentina’s ‘Brown Station’, one of the many Antarctic research stations and ideal for observing cormorants and crabeater seals.
Petermann Island, where you are able to observe colonies of Adélie Penguins and Gentoo Penguins. Pleneau Bay, where Gentoo penguins, Cook Gulls and South Polar Skuas reproduce. Neko Harbor offers a visit to small penguin colonies. Deception Island: An extinct volcano with warm waters. Port Lockroy, Goudier Island: The British built a listening station there during World War II, which was then used as a research station in the 1950s and since 1996 as a museum, gift shop and post office.
DAYS 10 & 11: DRAKE PASSAGE (B, L, D).
Sail back through the Drake Passage. Leaving the Antarctic Peninsula, you will cross the Drake Passage whilst seeing seabirds and whales on show.
DAY 12: USHUAIA (B).
Arrival into Ushuaia early morning. Following breakfast disembark. Depart from Ushuaia or extend your trip.

Meals - As specified in the itinerary (B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner).
Luggage - One normal suitcase and one handbag per person included for hotel porterage.
Transfers - all airport transfers from arrival on Day 1 to final day (assuming specific group flights booked)
