Jesuit Circuit And Iguazú Falls

DAY 1: POSADAS - ENCARNACIÓN (D).

Early morning arrival at Posadas airport and transfer to Encarnación (Paraguay). Visit the first of the two Jesuit ruins, Trinidad del Parana Ruins. View the remains of its imposing church and admire this sophisticated construction. Continuing to Jesus of Tavarangue Ruins, unique for its Moorish style, including well-conserved buildings. Return to Posadas.

DAY 2: POSADAS - SÃO MIGUEL - POSADAS (B, L, D).

Depart towards San Xavier Pier crossing the Uruguay River and continue towards the Ruins of São Miguel Das Missões (1634), originally the capital of the Missions in Southern Brazil. Visit the museum, which includes pieces from the missions from around the region.

DAY 3: POSADAS - PUERTO IGUAZÚ (B, L).

Towards Puerto Iguazú, pass through the Santa Ana and Nuestra Señora de Loreto Ruins (1632). Visit San Ignacio Mini, one of the best-preserved ruins. Continue onto Puerto Iguazú passing the yerba mate plantations.

DAY 4: PUERTO IGUAZÚ (B, L).

Visit the Argentinian side of Iguazú Falls. Visit Garganta del Diablo, The Upper and The Lower Trails. The optional Great Adventure boat tour can be booked.

DAY 5: PUERTO IGUAZÚ (B).

Morning visit to the Brazilian side of the falls, Foz do Iguaçu where you can appreciate a panoramic view of almost all the falls. Return to Puerto Iguazú to board your scheduled flight or extend your trip.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Accommodation - 4 nights in minimum 3-star hotels.

Meals - As specified in the itinerary (B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner).

Luggage - One normal suitcase and one handbag per person included for hotel porterage.

Transfers - all airport transfers from arrival on Day 1 to final day (assuming specific group flights booked).

Tours (with local bilingual English-speaking guides) - Paraguay ruins: Trinidad del Parana Ruins, Jesus of Tavarangue Ruins.  Brazilian ruins: San Ignacio Miní’s Ruins. Puerto Iguazú: Argentinian Falls - Brazilian Falls.

• Early morning flight into Posadas is required.

• Midweek arrivals advisable.

• Puerto Iguazú: The access to Garganta Del Diablo can be interrupted because of the rise in river flow.

• Accommodation options available on the Argentinian or Brazilian side.

• The Great Adventure tour is subject to weather conditions.

• Departure flight on day 5 must be after 3pm.
